Sometimes an image begins forming in my mind long before the camera ever comes out.

That was exactly the case with a special portrait I created for my friend Trish.

From the moment we started planning Trish’s maternity session, I had a vision. I knew I wanted to create something that felt magical, something that reflected both her personality and the beautiful name she had chosen for her daughter: Nova.

The name Nova immediately made me think of the night sky—stars, glowing light, and that sense of wonder that comes with looking up into the universe.
